WHEN IS NORTHERN NATS 10?
Northern Nats 10 will be held Thursday 23 July – Sunday 26 July 2026 (inclusive).
This multi-day festival showcases burnouts, drag racing, car shows, cruising and more.
WHEN CAN I ENTER?
Entries open on Thursday 26th March 2026. Get a head start and add your car to your SHED: https://shed.streetmachine.com.au/
Entrants must complete the online entry form via the official Street Machine SHED. Your entry will need:
- Vehicle details
- Driver details
- Competition category selections
- Payment at time of submission

MY VEHICLE ISN’T REGISTERED, CAN I STILL ENTER?
Yes! You can participate in activities (including cruising and some competitions) with an unregistered vehicle.
However, you cannot drive it on public roads to/from accommodation or between venues - you must trailer it.
WHO SANCTIONS NORTHERN NATS?
Racers Insurance is the official sanctioning body for Northern Nats 10.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN APPROVED?
You’ll receive an email once your vehicle application has been reviewed and approved. Approval can take up to 14 days.
Pro tip - applications will not proceed to the approval stage until full payment has been made.
You can also check your application status anytime by logging into The Shed.
DO LICENCE RESTRICTIONS APPLY?
Yes - all entrants must hold a current, unrestricted and unsuspended driver’s licence.
Learner drivers are not permitted. Provisional licence holders may enter but some restrictions apply.
Licences will be checked, so please be honest.

WHEN DO I GET MY ENTRANT TICKET / WRISTBAND?
Entrant wristbands are issued at registration. Please attend registration with your entrant approval email and have your entrant number ready.
Entrants who have purchased additional passes through the SHED can collect those wristbands at the event.
WHY IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR COMPETITIONS (E.G., BURNOUTS, DRAG RACING)?
Standard vehicle entry includes:
- 3-Day Event Access
- Supercruise x Skid Row
- Cruising
- Show ‘N’ Shine
Competitions like Drag Racing, Burnouts, Powerskids & Roll Racing include added benefits like competition prizes and entry into sanctioned divisions — this is why they incur additional fees.
CAN I BRING ADDITIONAL FUEL OR REFUEL ONSITE?
- You can bring fuel with you and use the designated onsite refuelling areas in line with event safety guidelines.
- Northern Nats does not store fuel. Any fuel brought onsite must be removed at the conclusion of the event.
- Fuel storage in camping or tent areas must comply with Australian Standards and local regulations.
WHAT ARE THE PPE REQUIREMENTS FOR BURNOUTS?
Drivers & Passengers are required to wear the following PPE during burnout activity -
For all NON-METHANOL fuelled vehicles:
- Long sleeves and long pants (non-flammable)
- Helmet – approved automotive helmet meeting AS 1698 or other IHRA Australia-recognised standard
- Enclosed shoes
For all METHANOL fuelled vehicles:
- Fire Suit: Must meet or exceed SFI 3.2A/5 or FIA 8856-2000 standards. Fire suits must be supplied by the Entrant — they will not be provided or available for hire from Event Organisers.
- Helmet – approved automotive helmet meeting AS 1698 or other IHRA Australia-recognised standard
- Enclosed shoes
CAN I HAVE PASSENGERS IN DURING BURNOUTS?
Yes, you can!
You’re allowed one passenger per door — so if you’ve got 4 doors, you can have up to 3 passengers.
All passengers must wear the same PPE as the driver and purchase a passenger wristband from the Registration Shed, at the Event.
CAN I HAVE PASSENGERS IN DURING SUPERCRUISE X SKID ROW?
Yes, you can!
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SUPERCRUISE & CRUISING?
Supercruise x Skid Row is where you can make some smoke — head down the drag strip (safely) and return via the side-by-side Skid Row on the burnout pad.
Cruising is a no-smoke cruise route around the designated cruise route.
SPECTATORS
HOW DO I BUY SPECTATOR TICKETS?
Spectator tickets go on sale soon – stay tuned for more information!
WHERE IS PARKING?
Spectator parking is available just outside the spectator ticketing entry. Parking is limited, so get in early!
WILL THERE BE BUSES OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
No, there are no event shuttle busses or public transport options.
IS THERE MERCH?
Is there never!? We’ve got you covered with a whole range – head to the merchandise hut to grab your Northern Nats gear before it sells out!
WILL THERE BE BARS?
Yes! You’ll find bars throughout the venue – grab your bar tickets from the merchandise hut then head to grab a cold can!
WILL THERE BE FOOD TRUCKS?
Yes! We’ve got the grub sorted – there are plenty of food trucks onsite to keep you fuelled!

HOW CAN I GET A VIP SEAT AT THE BURNOUTS?
You can add one when purchasing your spectator ticket.
Reminder – you have to head to the merchandise hut or ticket booth to grab your accreditation!

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD & DRINKS?
For sure! Please note alcohol and glass containers are prohibited.
CAMPING
CAN I CAMP AT NORTHERN NATS?
Yes. Camping is available for all multi-day ticket holders, including:
- Entrant Pass holders
- 3-Day Pit Crew
- 3-Day Pass
- 2-Day Pass
DO KIDS NEED TO PAY?
Children aged 14 and under may camp for free with an adult. Youths aged 15 & 16 require their own camping pass.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT CAMPING AREAS FOR ENTRANTS AND SPECTATORS?
Yes. Some campsites are reserved for entrants, while others are available for spectators.
DOES MY CAMPING TICKET GIVE ME ACCESS TO NORTHERN NATS?
No – you need to have a multi-day pass in addition to the camping pass.
WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH MY CAMPSITE TICKET?
Each site includes camping for one person. Additional campers must purchase a separate camping pass.
WHEN CAN I START CAMPING?
Entrants & their guest - camping is available from Thursday.
Spectators – camping is available from Friday.
All campers MUST checkout on Sunday – there is NO overnight camping on Sunday evening.
DO I NEED A VEHICLE PASS FOR CAMPING AND CAN I MOVE MY CAR AROUND?
- All vehicles must display a valid pass to access the campgrounds.
- Vehicle passes are required for non-entrant vehicles.
- Camping vehicle passes are for static vehicles only.
- Camping vehicles are not permitted to move around the venue.
CAN I BRING A CARAVAN, MOTORHOME, TRUCK OR TRANSPORTER?
Yes — we have a limited number of suitable camping sites for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and oversize vehicles such as trucks, transporters, buses and goosenecks.
If you plan on bringing an oversized vehicle, please contact our camping team via [email protected] as space inside the event is limited.
CAN I BRING A PET?
Assistance dogs supporting patrons with disabilities are permitted. No other animals are allowed on site.
CAN I BRING A GENERATOR?
Yes. Generators are permitted in camping areas. Please do not use generators after 11pm as a consideration to your neighbours.
CAN I BRING A BBQ?
Yes. Gas barbecues are permitted, and gas burners may also be used for cooking. If you are bringing a gas cylinder, it must be in date and under 9kg.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
Yes. Please note that only small glass jars are permitted. Remember, alcohol and commercial quantities of food are not allowed.
CAN I BRING A LOUNGE?
Yes. You must take it with you when you leave. As stated in the Camping Terms and Conditions, any items left behind at your campsite will incur a removal fee, which will be invoiced to you.
CAN I BRING AN AIR CONDITIONER / MICROWAVE / FRIDGE?
Yes. Please note – power is limited across camping areas so plan to use generators or solar camping equipment. NO generators after 11pm
- Fridges are permitted if under 180L.
- Microwaves and air conditioners are not permitted.
I’M BRINGING EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK, WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE IT ON MY SITE AFTER CAMPING CLOSES ON SUNDAY?
We will charge a removal and cleaning fee to the group contact. No questions asked. Our crew are extremely busy packing down the venue after the event, and we don't want to deal with removing that old couch you picked up on the way in.
WILL MY SITE HAVE POWER AVAILABLE?
Power access is very limited, and we cannot guarantee that your site will include a power connection.
If your site does not have power, you’re welcome to use the communal charging areas for phones and small devices. Please be mindful of others and use these outlets only as a short-term solution.
I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION AND I NEED POWER ON MY SITE?
Contact our camping staff and they will help you find a suitable area. We suggest reaching out to our team before you arrive via [email protected]
I NEED FIRST AID ASSISTANCE IN MY CAMPSITE?
Flag down a security guard or a member of the event staff for assistance.
IT’S COLD IN JULY, CAN I HAVE AN OPEN FIRE?
No. Open fires are not permitted. Our fire crew need to be in the competition areas, not attending campsites.
WHAT CAN'T I BRING?
Any item listed below that is confiscated will not be returned at the end of the event. These conditions apply in conjunction with the Event Conditions of Entry.
Prohibited items include:
- Alcohol purchased outside of Summernats event grounds
- Illicit substances and paraphernalia, including unidentifiable substances.
- Canisters of nitrous oxide or CO₂
- Glass bottles
- Motorcycles
- Motorcycle club colours
- Flares, fireworks, explosives or fire-twirling equipment
- Weapons or explosives of any description
- Fires, candles or open flames
- Air horns or sirens
- Protest paraphernalia and banners
- Any clothing that could be mistaken for event personnel including hi-vis
- Pools and spas
- Professional photography equipment
- Drones or any other remote-control devices
- Clothing bearing racist language or imagery
- Skateboards, scooters, roller skates, bicycles, motorbikes, segways or hoverboards (motorised or non-motorised)
- Golf carts or any personal motorised vehicles
- Motorised eskies
- Gas bottles heavier than 9kg (inclusive of gas)
- Kettles, toasters, fridges over 180L
- Furniture not intended to be taken home
- Platforms, structures or materials used to erect platforms or viewing structures
- Anything the event organiser reasonably considers to obstruct the view or jeopardise safety, comfort or experience of other patrons
- Animals, other than assistance animals recognised under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth). Evidence may be requested by Northern Nats and/or security staff
- Lasers
- Loud hailers or megaphones
- Spray cans of paint
- Any other item considered illegal or dangerous by event personnel
