ENTRANTS
WHEN IS NORTHERN NATS 10?
Northern Nats 10 will be held Thursday 23 July – Sunday 26 July 2026 (inclusive).
This multi-day festival showcases burnouts, drag racing, car shows, cruising and more.
WHEN CAN I ENTER?
Entries open on Thursday 26th March 2026. Get a head start and add your car to your Street Machine SHED.
Entrants must complete the online entry form via the official Street Machine SHED. Your submission must include:
- Vehicle details
- Driver details
- Competition category selections
- Payment at time of submission
Further steps, along with what is included in your entry, will be outlined in the entrant portal during the entry process.
MY VEHICLE ISN’T REGISTERED, CAN I STILL ENTER?
Yes. You can participate in selected activities, including cruising and some competitions, with an unregistered vehicle.
However, you cannot drive it on public roads to or from accommodation or between venues. It must be transported on a trailer.
WHO SANCTIONS NORTHERN NATS?
Racers Insurance is the official sanctioning body for Northern Nats 10.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN APPROVED?
You’ll receive an email once your vehicle application has been reviewed and approved. Please allow up to 14 days for approval.
Applications will not progress to the approval stage until full payment has been received.
You can also check your application status at any time by logging into The Shed.
DO LICENCE RESTRICTIONS APPLY?
Yes. All entrants must hold a current, unrestricted and unsuspended driver’s licence. Learner drivers are not permitted.
Provisional licence holders may enter; however, some restrictions apply. Licences will be checked, so please ensure your details are accurate.

WHEN DO I GET MY ENTRANT TICKET / WRISTBAND?
Entrant wristbands are issued at registration. Please attend registration with your entrant approval email and have your entrant number ready.
Entrants who have purchased additional passes through the SHED can collect those wristbands at the event.
WHY IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL COST FOR COMPETITIONS (E.G., BURNOUTS, DRAG RACING)?
Standard vehicle entry includes:
- 3-Day Event Access
- Supercruise x Skid Row
- Cruising
- Show ‘N’ Shine
Competitions such as Drag Racing, Burnouts, Powerskids and Roll Racing include additional benefits, including competition prizes and entry into sanctioned divisions. As a result, these categories incur additional fees.
CAN I BRING ADDITIONAL FUEL OR REFUEL ONSITE?
- You can bring fuel with you and use the designated onsite refuelling areas in line with event safety guidelines.
- Northern Nats does not store fuel. Any fuel brought onsite must be removed at the conclusion of the event.
- Fuel storage in camping or tent areas must comply with Australian Standards and local regulations.
WHAT ARE THE PPE REQUIREMENTS FOR BURNOUTS?
Drivers and passengers must wear the following PPE during burnout activity:
For all NON-METHANOL fuelled vehicles:
- Long sleeves and long pants made from non-flammable material
- An approved automotive helmet meeting AS 1698 or another IHRA Australia recognised standard
- Enclosed shoes
For all METHANOL fuelled vehicles:
- A fire suit meeting or exceeding SFI 3.2A/5 or FIA 8856-2000 standards. Fire suits must be supplied by the entrant and will not be provided or available for hire by event organisers
- An approved automotive helmet meeting AS 1698 or another IHRA Australia recognised standard
- Enclosed shoes
CAN I HAVE PASSENGERS IN DURING BURNOUTS?
Yes, you can.
You're permitted one passenger per door. For example, a four-door vehicle may carry up to three passengers.
All passengers must wear the same PPE as the driver and purchase a passenger wristband from the Registration Shed at the event.
CAN I HAVE PASSENGERS IN DURING SUPERCRUISE X SKID ROW?
Yes, you can.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SUPERCRUISE & CRUISING?
- Supercruise x Skid Row is your chance to make some smoke. Head down the drag strip safely, then return via the side-by-side Skid Row on the burnout pad.
- Cruising follows a designated no-smoke route around the venue.
SPECTATORS
HOW DO I BUY SPECTATOR TICKETS?
Spectator tickets go on sale soon. Stay tuned for more details.
WHERE IS PARKING?
Spectator parking is available just outside the spectator ticketing entry. Spaces are limited, so arrive early to secure your spot.
WILL THERE BE BUSES OR PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
There are no event shuttle buses or public transport services available.
IS THERE MERCH?
Is there never!? We have you covered with a full range of official merchandise. Head to the Merchandise Hut to secure your Northern Nats gear before it sells out.
WILL THERE BE BARS?
Yes. Bars are located throughout the venue. Purchase your bar tickets from the Merchandise Hut, then head over and grab a cold one.
WILL THERE BE FOOD TRUCKS?
Yes! We have the grub covered, with plenty of food trucks onsite to keep you fuelled all weekend.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH MY TICKETS?

HOW CAN I GET A VIP SEAT AT THE BURNOUTS?
You can add one when purchasing your spectator ticket.
Reminder: please head to the Merchandise Hut or Ticket Booth to collect your accreditation.
HOW CAN I ENTER THE MULLET COMPETITION OR TATTOO COMPETITION?

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD & DRINKS?
Absolutely. Please note that alcohol and glass containers are prohibited.
CAMPING
Who do I contact for pit and camping enquires?
CAN I CAMP AT NORTHERN NATS?
Yes. Camping is available for all multi-day ticket holders, including:
- Entrant Pass holders
- 3-Day Pit Crew
- 3-Day Pass
- 2-Day Pass
DO KIDS NEED TO PAY?
Children aged 14 and under can camp free of charge with a paying adult. Youths aged 15 and 16 must purchase their own Camping Pass.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT CAMPING AREAS FOR ENTRANTS AND SPECTATORS?
Yes. Some campsites are reserved for entrants, while others are available for spectators.
DOES MY CAMPING TICKET GIVE ME ACCESS TO NORTHERN NATS?
No. You must hold a Multi-Day Pass in addition to your Camping Pass.
WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH MY CAMPSITE TICKET?
Each site includes camping for one person. Any additional campers must purchase their own Camping Pass.
WHEN CAN I START CAMPING?
Entrants and their guests can access camping from Thursday.
Spectators can access camping from Friday.
All campers MUST check out on Sunday. There is NO overnight camping on Sunday evening.
DO I NEED A VEHICLE PASS FOR CAMPING AND CAN I MOVE MY CAR AROUND?
- All vehicles must display a valid pass to access the campgrounds.
- Vehicle passes are required for non-entrant vehicles.
- Camping vehicle passes apply to static vehicles only.
- Camping vehicles are not permitted to move around the venue.
CAN I BRING A CARAVAN, MOTORHOME, TRUCK OR TRANSPORTER?
Yes. We have a limited number of suitable camping sites for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and oversized vehicles, including trucks, transporters, buses and goosenecks.
If you plan on brining an oversized vehicle, please contact our camping team at camping@outthere.com.au, as space within the event is limited.
CAN I BRING A PET?
Assistance dogs supporting patrons with disabilities are permitted. No other animals are allowed on site.
CAN I BRING A GENERATOR?
No. Generators are not permitted in any camping areas.
CAN I BRING A BBQ?
Yes. Gas barbecues are permitted, and gas burners may also be used for cooking. Any gas cylinder brought onsite must be in date and under 9kg.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
Yes. Only small glass jars are permitted. Please note that alcohol and commercial quantities of food are not allowed.
CAN I BRING A LOUNGE?
Yes. You must take all items with you when you leave. As outlined in the Camping Terms and Conditions, any belongings left behind at your campsite will incur a removal fee, which will be invoiced to you.
CAN I BRING AN AIR CONDITIONER / MICROWAVE / FRIDGE?
No. Large appliances can overload the power supply and cause area-wide outages, and no one wants cold snags.
- Fridges are permitted if they are under 180L.
- Microwaves and air conditioners are not permitted.
I’M BRINGING EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK, WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE IT ON MY SITE AFTER CAMPING CLOSES ON SUNDAY?
We will charge a removal and cleaning fee to the group contact. No exceptions. Our crew are extremely busy packing down the venue after the event and cannot manage the removal of unwanted items, including that old couch picked up on the way in.
WILL MY SITE HAVE POWER AVAILABLE?
Some sites include power, but not all. Please review the site description carefully before booking to confirm whether power is included.
If your site does not have power, communal charging stations are available for phones. Please be considerate and don't hog the facilities.
I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION AND I NEED POWER ON MY SITE?
Please contact our camping team and they will assist you in finding a suitable area. We recommend getting in touch before you arrive at camping@outthere.com.au
I NEED FIRST AID ASSISTANCE IN MY CAMPSITE?
Please alert a security guard or a member of the event staff for assistance.
IT’S COLD IN JULY, CAN I HAVE AN OPEN FIRE?
No. Open fires are not permitted. Our fire crew need to be in the competition areas and cannot attend to campsites.
WHAT CAN'T I BRING?
Any item listed below that is confiscated will not be returned at the end of the event. These conditions apply in conjunction with the Event Conditions of Entry.
Prohibited items include:
- Alcohol purchased outside of Summernats event grounds
- Illicit substances and paraphernalia, including unidentifiable substances.
- Canisters of nitrous oxide or CO₂
- Glass bottles
- Motorcycles
- Motorcycle club colours
- Flares, fireworks, explosives or fire-twirling equipment
- Weapons or explosives of any description
- Fires, candles or open flames
- Air horns or sirens
- Generators
- Protest paraphernalia and banners
- Any clothing that could be mistaken for event personnel including hi-vis
- Pools and spas
- Professional photography equipment
- Drones or any other remote-control devices
- Clothing bearing racist language or imagery
- Skateboards, scooters, roller skates, bicycles, motorbikes, segways or hoverboards (motorised or non-motorised)
- Golf carts or any personal motorised vehicles
- Motorised eskies
- Gas bottles heavier than 9kg (inclusive of gas)
- Kettles, toasters, fridges over 180L
- Furniture not intended to be taken home
- Platforms, structures or materials used to erect platforms or viewing structures
- Anything the event organiser reasonably considers to obstruct the view or jeopardise safety, comfort or experience of other patrons
- Animals, other than assistance animals recognised under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth). Evidence may be requested by Northern Nats and/or security staff
- Lasers
- Loud hailers or megaphones
- Spray cans of paint
- Any other item considered illegal or dangerous by event personnel
